- Started playing with Iray (and Daz again) about 2-3 weeks ago, having been scared to try Iray because I thought it would break the computer (old laptop) but holy crap, it's so fast and easy. I did purchase some Dimension Theory products because I'm lazy and like click and go lighting. >_> And with HDR's from HDRLabs, it's awesome. I've never been particularly gifted with unbiased rendering though but I can get much nicer results faster than I can in Reality/Luxrender, but that's more due to my computer, not the program. Anywho...
- Finishing up a freckled skin/character for Genesis 2 Female (that I started last year
) but I'm slightly worried she won't be accepted/do well because G3F/V7 is the new shiny thing. Hmmmm....but I also want to finish her, hopefully have Daz accept it, and then can start on G3F. - I want to do grittier characters, like Svengar, but I know that boobs and ladybits sell better. It's so hard. That being said, it's not my job, it's just a hobby so it doesn't really matter. O_o
Also, chick make-up options; I'm just not good at them, yo. I'm not a girly girl. I'm clueless. My idea of makeup is a bit of foundation and a lick of mascara (after I curl my lashes of course *girly hair flick*)

Absence
Apologies to all of the lovely people who commented on my stuff and sent me lovely messages in my absence over the year. I made a comment in the Daz forums that I disappeared due to having a baby and it took me a long time to get back into the swing of things (and it's still really, really hard). I'm also in the process of moving right now so although I'm working on things, everything is disrupted again.
I should mention that in that time I also played lots of games and tearing myself away from gaming and other hobbies to get back into Daz is really hard. I find it hard to get that "excitement" back for it again. It's back well and truly now
It's only been 6 months...
I hate journals but I also hate seeing old journal entries :p
I've had the time recently to get back into making characters so we'll see what happens! I plan to make a (hopefully) healthy selection of stupidly gorgeous, ordinary and ugly characters!
Anywho!
1: Just released a new character at Daz! Finally! You can see him here! Rhys for Genesis 3 Male
Rhys is a teen character so I couldn't include genital texture maps. If anyone wants a tutorial on adding genitals in post-work, I'd be happy to oblige. Any future adult characters that I make (for Genesis 3 figures) will have genital maps.

Okay, that's lazy. Life update.
Still waiting on a new computer so I can get back into character creation.
Took a break from Daz to play The Sims 4
Chomping at the bit to get Dragon Age: Inquisition but have a deal with my partner to hold off until I get a new PC.
Learning Latin. Pretty fun. Hoping it'll open the door to other languages in the future. It seriously should be taught in school.
Learning Archery. 6 weeks in. Lots of fun. But I'm terrible at it. :p Another 20 years and I should be decent...
Job sucks. Can't quit. More-so due to an unwillingness to look for other work. o_o That and I'm a pro at putt

Hi all! Just in case those that watch me couldn't tell by my copious amounts of picture spamming, my new character has been released at Daz. http://www.daz3d.com/ziva-for-aiko-6 I really enjoyed making her and I'm looking forward to exploring her skin more with personal art in the future. I haven't given her a proper run in Reality/Luxrender yet and there's a lot of skin detail to show off that Daz just can't display sometimes. Also, a big thanks and shout out to Illirik for making a beautiful promo artwork for me! It makes me really happy to see her used and talked about so nicely.
Anywho, I'll probably work on re-doing Etienne for Teen Jay

I am super excited that you'll be finishing the freckled character. I love her. Actually, I love all of your characters. I know people buy more pretty skins, but, oy vey! are there too many of them and not enough people with interesting skin. Most of the time, I'll go for the pretty skin, but I hate how hard it is to find skins that fit a different mood, scene, or character. If I ran DAZ, I'd be inclined to hire you to create "not-pretty" skins full-time. Which, of course, is why they wouldn't hire me for the job But a big thumbs up for more Svengars, Mahalas and Zivas. Each of them are irreplaceable—which isn't something I could say about 99% of the other characters out there.
