Azira was drawn by hand, in lead pencil (obviously, hence the messiness) as I was afraid to outline it lest I wreck it more, even though I can nitpick and see heaps of irregularities in this pic as it is.
Coloured in Arcsoft Photobase because it's all I have. No Adobe for me
I'm lazy when it comes to backgrounds but I'm actually proud of this one. Those furry spikes on the tree-things took bloody ages. Drawing with a mouse is hard, even if you are using special tools...
4. What I really need is a class or tutorial on anatomy or something so I can learn muscle tone and definition, as I'm lazy when it comes to that too. Too much anime watching
(Or maybe I can hire myself a male model...heh.)
Suggestions on how to improve this are appreciated.
wow... this is great. I love the use of cool colors it really gives an atmospheric look to the whole piece. Also, the character is really nicely done.

Mmm. Sucks to muscle tone and definition, I like this style just fine ^_^ Love the scarf-y... fabric-y things and folds thereof (if that made any sense). Also love the one-ear and the branch he's sitting on.
Colouring with mouse? Eeeheh *twitches* not fun. Not fun at all.
Some people have been asking me about this stuff so I decided to gather all information in one single article on how to make your own portfolio, in a profesional and clean looking way. I hope it's useful, because these steps I myself take.

So... now it's the time for male models to come into focus.

`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
